Watercolour Wednesday with Papillon Pot Pourri

Hi, well its time for July's Watercolour Wednesday post and I have to say that I have been having some fun with watercolours recently, so I will be sharing more ideas with you soon!

For this card I chose 3 nice bright colours of ink that I thought went well together, spritzed an area of the watercolour card and stamped the butterfly then sprizted on some more water whilst holding the card up so that the ink could run down creating a lovely effect.  I repeated this for each colour, drying with a heat tool before adding the next colour so that they did not run into each other.

I then inked up the butterfly with ink, and spritzed the stamp lightly with water before stamping onto watercolour card.  I repeated this for each colour, once dry I cut them out with the Elegant Butterfly punch. I layered the watercolour card onto a piece of Melon Mambo card, then onto a card base, added a sentiment and glued on the butterflies.

Stampin' Up! Materials Used:
Stamp Sets - Papillon Potpourri, Rose Wonder
Ink Pads - Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede
Card - Melon Mambo, Whisper White thick card, watercolor card
Punch - Elegant Butterfly
Other -  fine tip glue pen, Stampin' Trimmer, heat tool, Stampin' spritzer
