Do Something Creative Every Day!

I love this sentiment and crafty images in the Crafting Forever stamp set, and thought it would be perfect with the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Color Theory Suite (and yes it is called Color Theory as SU is an American company).  I had fun making these, so made a bunch of these cards to send crafty friends around the world!

The DSP is double sided with strips of colour, or solid ombre on one side and different sizes of crackle on the other.  I am sure that we can all see those DIY paint chips/strips that you can get as samples on the paper I have used here!  However I have also used some of the crackle design to stamp the paint pots onto and paper pieced them onto the full image, adding a little colour from the markers with a blender pen.

I really like the colour range here in this suite -  Berry Burst, Crushed Curry, Dapper Denim, Old Olive - and strangely enough even though pink is normally my go to colour for crafting and I do not particularly like yellow (probably because it is a colour I cannot wear), my favourite in these cards are the yellow ones!  Don't ask me why, as I simply do not know! LOL!

Fridge Lists

Something a little bit different from me today - my fridge lists!

We are all busy, and after a day at work with a bit of travel thrown in, there just isn't time everyday to make everything for dinner from scratch, so I like to do a bit of batch cooking now and again and get a few things in the freezer that I can pull out and cook up quickly!  I wanted to be able to easily see what I had in the freezer so that I can plan meals, and also know when it's time to make some more of our favourites.

So this is where my fridge lists come in!  I have them on the side of the fridge, held on by small magnets and I write on what I put in the freezer, and then cross them off when I use it.  I keep meaning to get a set of these laminated so that I can use a write on wipe off pen, rather than keep making paper ones - but they are quick and easy to make, and gives me chance to make something other than cards now and again!

I hope you have enjoyed this project, and will make something similar for your kitchen.  You can use any stamps you like, and co-ordinate it with the colours in your home - I normally make these with Real Red and Old Olive inks as I have red accessories in my kitchen, but I chose some different colours this time.

Stampin' Up! materials used:

Ink - Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Black

A Daisy Thank You

Can you tell how much I love the Delightful Daisy Suite?!  Yes alot!  It has been one of those sets that is just so pretty and fun to use - so I do have a few more cards to share with you.

The card today is a very simple one, using some card and a couple of small pieces of the patterned paper along with the daisy stamps.  If you wanted to, you could miss out the card layer and put everything straight onto a coloured card blank - I just seem to have a bit of a thing about using white card blanks (all made from the Whisper White thick card stock).

This is a beautiful suite of products, with a stamp set, a daisy punch, some scrummy designer series paper, ribbon and gems.

The co-ordinating colours are Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pool Party, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White.

You can take a closer look at these products in my online shop.
