Sneak Peek #1 - Delightful Daisy

Well as you may know, goodies from the new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue will be available from June 1st.  As a demonstrator you get chance to order some of the new products before they go on sale.  I've resisted sharing any sneak peeks until now, as it always feels a bit mean to show things you cannot buy yet - but today I had a bit of a play with some items in the Delightful Daisy Suite and just had to share these cards with you.  There is a stamp set, Designer Series Paper (DSP), a daisy punch, as well as some embellishments and ribbon that co-ordinate perfectly!

For this card I used a piece of DSP, the punch and a sentiment from the stamp set, along with some markers and also a die from a current set to make the center of the flower.

I have to admit that this card did not turn out how I first planned it - I started off with stamped daisies in Daffodil Delight (they will be used on another card) plus the strip of DSP.  Then I was drawn to the colour of the daisies on the paper and decided to try to make my punched daisies look the same.  I used Soft Sky on one set (which you will see in the card below), Smoky Slate on another, and then finally Night of Navy applied with the blender pen which I used on the card.

Time to make the centre of the flower - I discovered that all my circle punches and dies were either too small, or mostly too big!  Thinking there must be something I can use instead of having to try to hand cut a circle, as I knew that would not go well...  so I had a look through my die collection and chose one of the squify circles from the Swirly Scribbles set.  I used the Daffodil Delight marker to colour it - making small dots on the die cut, then colouring all over and then adding another layer of colour in a semi-circle fashion on one side.

Then I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy, added the DSP and the flowers and there you have it!

Here is the other version I made using the daisies I made using the Soft Sky marker, Peekaboo Peach ink for the centre and a different piece of the DSP.

Reason For The Season

I made some Christmas cards recently, which I haven't had chance to share until now - plus as these stamp sets are sadly retiring at the end of this month I thought I had best write this post now incase you want to get hold of the gorgeous Reason For The Season stamp set before its gone!

The poinsettias are layering stamps and ones that don't need to be lined up perfectly so if you feel that you are not the best stamper in the world, or in a hurry you can still can great results with these. Then, unusually for me, I stuck to using a sentiment included in the stamp set rather than picking one from a different set!

Eastern Palace Suite bundles now available!

I have some very exciting news for you today!  The Eastern Palace Suite products from the new annual catalogue coming on the 1st June, are available in two exclusive bundles throughout the month of May.  

The Starter Bundle contains the stamp set, designer series paper, gold vinyl stickers and ink pads in 3 of the new 2017-19 In-Colors (Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig) as well as a free pack of new Very Vanilla notecards and envelopes.

The Premier Bundle contains the stamp set, the medallion thinlits, designer series paper, card stock pack, gold vinyl stickers, mini tassel embellishments and ink pads in 3 of the new 2017-19 In-Colors (Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig) as well as a free pack of c6 Very Vanilla envelopes and the new Very Vanilla thick cardstock.

Custom Tee Love Note

I've made several cards using the Custom Tee stamp set, so I thought I would share this one with you today.

The card base is 10.5cm square, so makes a cute sized note card, and is very quick and simple to make - no colouring, just the use of red ink and card!

Sadly both stamp sets, and the framelits are on the retiring products list, so will only be available until 31st May while stocks last - some retiring items have sold out already, so if you love these sets pop on over to my shop to take a look.
