Something Old Something New - Party Like a Panda Banner

Well, it's been a while since I did a "Something Old, Something New" post, but what I have to share with you today definitely fits the bill.  This party banner uses the brand new Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and the super cute Sale-A-Bration Party Pandas stamp set, some other current products which I will list, and the retired Banners framelits.  Don't worry too much if you don't have those dies - as you can make this project without them!

Die cut Basic Black and Blushing Bride card using the largest banner die.  If you don't have this cut the card to 2 3/4" by 4 7/8" and cut a V shape in the bottom, or leave as a rectangle for a different look.

Cut some Whisper White card to 2 3/4" by 4 1/2" and stamp with the Brushstrokes background in Blushing Bride ink.

Take the second to largest banner die and die cut the Petal Passion paper, and the card stamped with the Brushstroke background.  If you don't have the dies cut to 2 3/8" by 4 1/4", cut the same V shape, or leave as is.  Layer onto the black and pink card.

Make up the embellishments for the banner using the stitched shapes and layering ovals die cut silver foil card, then the layering circles and ovals in Blushing Bride in a smaller size to place on the top and glue the layers together.

Stamp letters in Basic Black to spell out a name or Happy Birthday, or whatever message you want to use.  Die cut using the Large Letter framelits and stick onto the ovals.

Stamp the Party Panda in Basic Black, colour in the spots on the hat with a Blushing Bride marker and cut out and add to the layered circles using dimensionals.  I used my Brother Scan N Cut with a 1mm border around each image, but if you don't have one of these you can cut out by hand.

Punch a hole on each side of the banner pieces and thread the ribbon through the holes, and there is your completed banner!

Party Like a Panda Invites

Today I thought I would share with you a bit more information on how I created the party invites for my Panda Party which I featured in Tuesday's blog post.

First of all I set up an invite in Serif Craft Artist Professional 2, but you could do this in Microsoft Word or other similar programmes.  I put 4 on a page making each one slightly smaller than A6 size.

I printed onto Whisper White card, cut them out leaving most of the thick black border, and layered them onto Blushing Bride card.

The panda was stamped in the corner, with the spots on the party hat being coloured in with a Blushing Bride marker.  The small stars and squares in the top left corner are also a stamp in the Party Pandas set which I thought added a finishing touch to the card.

And there you have some simple and quick invites!

Don't forget this cute Party Panda stamp set is only available until the end of March, free with a purchase of £45 as part of Sale-A-Bration.  So pop on over to my online store and get yours while you can!

Party Like a Panda!

I am so excited about today's post!  I have used the Sale-A-Bration Party Pandas stamp set to create some party accessories - invites, a banner, cupcake toppers, a mini popcorn box and a gift box!

You will see the name Flora on the banner, which is the name of my panda bear pictured.  I was given her by my sister when I was born, so Flora is a little on the old side now and as you can see well loved.  She normally sits on the top of a bookshelf as she is a bit delicate, but I thought you would like to see her as she is what started my love of giant pandas!

I have used a number of products to make all these goodies, and I also have ideas for more, I just could not wait any longer to share what I have completed so far. Over the next few days I will be posting details of the items used for each project, but today I want to share with you how you can get this cute stamp set.

Party Pandas is a Sale-A-Bration item which means you can get it free with a purchase of £45 - there are some other free gorgeous stamp sets, papers and ribbons to choose from, but this has to be my favourite!  You can choose one item for every £45 you spend until the 31st March 2018.  So if you would like to get this cute set pop on over to my online store and get shopping!
